I'm truly thrilled, and greatly humbled, by the more than 45 people who have donated to our film.
OUR film. It is that, and so much more than people know. We couldn't do this with out the emotional, logistical and financial support we receive from amazing folks, across the globe.
"Thank you" doesn't begin to cover it.
We have about seven more months of filming to get through. A lot of it will involve travel and remote locations. But we're after extraordinary footage and to get it, we're going to be working very hard.
We almost have enough to do it, too. We've raised more than $3,500 in the past 3 and a half months. We still need (for the most essential interviews, wild footage and logistics) an additional $2,000.
The best way - the way I hope to see this happen - is if we had 200 people donate $10 each. That's what it takes, really. Don't get me wrong, the 45 people who have already donated have given and average of $65 per person. Our largest single donor gave $750. It's absolutely humbling.
If you can help us spread the word it will help us reach OUR goal. Share this link: https://www.causes.com/campaigns/68350-fund-the-film-fragile-waters-a-film-of-hope-to-save-orcas and if you Tweet or Facebook, feel free to re-post it often.
The fundraiser wraps up in about 6 weeks.
Thank you all so very, very much. OUR film is going to be amazing!
Cheers,
- Rick Wood
